Rutherglen

Today we left Euchca, and headed towards Rutherglen which is approx 195 klms. We had thought we would stay overnight at Cobram at a free camp along the Murry River, we arrived there at lunch time it was a lovely spot but very shaded with Gum Trees and in the shade it was very chilly. We have been spoilt since being on the road as staying in caravan parks with power we have been able to run our heater. So after a lovely lunch we were on the move again to Rutherglen, as it is only going to be 1 degree tonight and we love our warmth. The town of Rutherlen is very much like Richmond in Tasmania, with historic streetscapes and in a wine growing region.

Echuca

We received our computer by courier today so we are now fully dressed and able to communicate by email, skype and blog.
Since arriving on the big island we, have spent the last 4 days at Euchca, lovely quiet caravan park with good amenities. We have enjoyed lovely days around about 19 degrees, gets a bit chilly of a night down to around 4 degrees but can manage those OK. Had a enjoyable time on a Paddle Steamer the Emmy Lou, chugging up the Murray with a nice glass of wine in our hand. Also visited the bowling club at Moama, a very impressive place with plenty of eateries, gambling and some members even play bowls. It has been very well designed with plenty of Red Gum in the design. The Holden Museum and the Heritage Museum are also well worth checking out here at Eucha.
It is a great place for riding our bikes are able to cycle down to the Port within a few minutes, do all our shopping without having to take out the vehicle.
