Have been here at Hughenden for the last couple of days, it was like coming to an oasis after our 5 nights at Winton, where we held up until we were feeling well enough to travel. The caravan park at Winton had this white gravel everywhere that gave off dust like talcum powder or cement dust, I don't think it was helping with our coughs. The outback red dust was far better than this fine talc, we spent this morning washing the car and cleaning the inside of the van thoroughly as we felt like we were still inhaling the dust, even took the curtains out and gave them a good shake. Tomorrow we hope to go out to Porcupine Gorge for a trip, maybe will see a dinosaur or two, like Winton they are really into their dinosaur's here.
Will stay here until Monday and then move onto Charters Towers before hitting the coast at Townsville.
