Cairns

We had planned on stopping at Babinda for a night and heading out to The Boulders for a look, unfortunately the weather was against us with very overcast heavy skies and while we were having lunch at Babinda we had a torrential down pour.  Discussing the weather situation we decided to move onto Cairns arriving in Cairns later that afternoon being Saturday, a couple of days ahead of schedule. The daily weather temperature is around 28 degrees, humidity has been high as we have still been getting the occasional showers and very little sun.

We leave today to go on the Cargo Ship to Cape York so hopefully this weather will clear and we will get clear views of the Coastline as we head North. We are all packed ready to go, we have booked a taxi to pick us up from the Caravan Park at 12.45 as we need to muster at 1.15 boarding at 1.30 feeling a little nervous now but really looking forward to this experience. As we will be in a remote area we will have very limited phone & internet until we return on Sunday.
