Sunday we left St George and travelled via Roma to Mitchell stopping at Surat for morning tea. While we were in Surat we went to the Museum which was The Cobb & Co Changing Station, the original site of the Cobb & Co Store and drop off point for
coach travellers & goods.
Back on the road again Baz was hot footing it past another Grey Nomad and there happened to be a dead Echidna (Porcupine) on the road, unfortunately not being able to swerve around it he clipped it with the wheel of the Paj sending it flying up under
the caravan. We were concerned we may have spikes in our tyre but on inspection when we arrived, there was blood and guts spread under the van & we had water spurting from the hose coming from the water tanks. Numerous spikes had penetrated the
hose leaving us with a nice sprinkler under the van. Lucky for us we had some spare hose in the boot and Baz was able to replace it and refill the tanks.
We have had a vast improvement in the weather the last couple of days, with us enjoying frequent visits to the Artesian pool here in Mitchell.
