Monday we left St George heading to Mitchell, we saw plenty of Emu's, Kangaroos, pigs & foxes along the way. Since we have been here we have been staying out at the Neil Turner Weir which is 3.5klms from town. We have a lovely camp spot overlooking the weir. We have been to the Artesian Spa revisited from last year numerous times, and today we had a game of bowls. We are able to have camp fires here which is a good focal point for happy hour, we seem to have quite a number of fellow campers joining us each day. Some we welcome more than others as there are some strange ones at times. We are expecting Jack and Sharmon to catch up with us on Saturday after their travels into Lake Eyre and travelling up the Birdsville track toBirdsville they left Birdsville on Tuesday so we are looking forward to meeting up with them again, it will be Jack's birthday on Saturday so we will check out the local pubs menus, as we will go for a meal to celebrate.
It was very cold here last night it got down to -1,looks like it may be the same tonight so we are all rugged up in our thermals and Bazza even has his Beanie on also the hot water bottles have been filled.
